Luke 6:38 says “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Just last week, on Thursday December 3rd, Lifepoint had a leadership meeting to discuss our current series “Presence” which is about generosity, giving, and campus expansion. During this particular sermon, Pastor Daniel was discussion John 12, where Jesus was anointed at Bethany… and Mary poured expensive perfume over His feet. But what she did was not wasteful, it was worship.
It’s funny… and humbling… because it was exactly December 3rd last year that we got into contact with The Dechat’s who have been a huge part into providing a way to GET us to Guatemala. We have noticed that throughout this entire journey that we truly serve a God of provision. That He has gone before us and graciously made a way for us to serve, even when things seemed impossible. I seriously think I could thank over a hundred people who have helped us make it to where we are today… and I’m excited to see how many more people are coming on board as we take this next step of faith in actually moving there.
…which brings me to my next point. We are blown away by the support we’ve received since making our announcement that we are moving!! So many people have shared our post and are already asking how they can help support us. As Flavor Flav once said to me, “WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!”
