Whitney : From Sugar Grove, WV – Graduated from Marshall University with Nursing degree. Loves the color yellow, being warm, eating dessert, and taking long naps. Favorite quote is from my grandma “If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.” <3
Together : We were married May 14, 2011 at the Campus Christian Center on Marshall University by our pastor from First Baptist Church Kenova, Steve Willis. We moved to Unionville, VA in June of 2011 and started attending a church in Fredericksburg that eventually led us to our first trip to Hope of Life in Guatemala. We are thankful to be raising our two children, John and Flori on the mission field and a blessed to have a large, supportive family stateside.
John & Flori : Our two precious miracle babies! John was born 1/30/2019 in Guatemala. He is silly, smart, independent, and a little bit of a handful at times! He loves Mickey Mouse, books, trucks, swimming, eating, and making friends everywhere he goes. Flori was born 10/12/20 – she came early and while we were stuck in the US during the pandemic. Although she isn’t Guatemalan born, she loves the warm weather, and the comida tipica! (black beans for breakfast) She is always singing, always smiling, and always happy as long as she is in someone’s arms. Although our ministry to Guatemala is so deeply important to us, we also know that these little ones are our highest priority. May we lead them and love them the best we can!
